Film, TV, Theatre, Branded Content & Fight Consultancy Production in London & Brighton

SuckerPunch Productions is an award-winning, London and Brighton-based production company led by writer, director and fight director Rupert Charmak. We develop and produce film, TV and audio drama and theatre, create branded content and commercials for brands and charities, and provide expert fight direction for screen and stage.

Branded Content & Commercials

We make branded films, commercials and video campaigns for brands and charities that lead with integrity, managing every stage from concept and script to filming, editing and final delivery.

Our approach is story-first. For Agria Pet Insurance we made a moving mini-documentary about Otis the Great Dane, who nearly lost his life, and the treatment that saved him: real, human storytelling that audiences remember and share.

Film, TV & Audio Drama

Our slate of film, TV and audio projects are built on powerful, dramatic storytelling and a commitment to supporting new voices. Our short film I Am Super is the precursor to a feature film and TV series in development, and Dark Justice, made with child protection charity StopSO, won Best Human Rights Film and Best International Film at Atlantic Bridge Film Festival in Amsterdam.

We also make audio drama, including Threads of Healing for BBC Radio 4, starring Meera Syal and Parminder Nagra.

Theatre Production

We bring our storytelling craft to the stage, developing and producing theatre from first concept through to performance. From new writing to full stage productions, we work closely with writers and performers to create work that resonates with a live audience.

SuckerPunch Productions recently co-produced Crossing The Line, Michael Sheath’s monologues, with the child protection agency StopSO, playing to a sold-out audience. More info on this exciting project coming soon. Buy the play here.

Rupert was Co-Director and Fight Director on Going for Gold at Park Theatre, the true story of 1970s boxer Frankie Lucas, which earned an Offie nomination for Best Movement and Choreography.

Rupert also directed the sell-out one-man show Punchline, starring BAFTA-winning actor Brian Capron.
